Using an analog phone to program System Speed Dial on a digital system.
How do I program System Speed Dial numbers and names?
I rarely see an analog phone at the programming desk for a digital system but it does happen. The keystrokes are designed for a 7000 series phone on a digital system. Most keystrokes are the same and you must be on the programming jack.
The first column shows the keystrokes you need to do and the other two show you what the display reads. The second column is for original versions -1 and -2 software. The third column is for the later versions of software (-3 or -4). You will know which version you have when you get to the 4th step by the number of digits that appear on the display.

Press HOLD when you are done with all your numbers and then dial 002 for names (see below) |
Now that you have programmed a speed dial number, you need to program a speed dial name to go with the number. Keep track of each number you enter and go to program 002 by pressing HOLD and then 002. Enter the names at the same number. For example, if you programmed Jim's number as speed dial bin 13, you would enter the name Jim in the 13 bin of System Speed Names.
